Tasting Characteristics

Originating from different terroirs and maturing techniques, Ampeloeis Silver distinguishs though a magic combination an authentic red wine with aromas of black fruit, kernels and oak wood, rich in strong tannins. Its varied maturing gives complexity to this wine, with possibilities to develop further.

Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Merlot 30%

Vineyard

The Cabernet Sauvignon at an altitude of 500 meters in the area of ??Melissa Kavala and the Merlot at an altitude of 600 meters in Folia Kavala.

Vinification – Maturation

Classic red vinification lasting 6 days. Matured with three different techniques for 12 months, 40% in 225 liter French oak barrels, 30% in a tank and 30% in a four ton oak French barrel. Aging 12 months in French oak barrels and 4 months in bottles.

Harmony

It goes well with wild animal meat and red meat.
