Τasting Characteristics

Deep red colour. Intense complexity with primary aromas of red berries, dried fig, tomato juice. Secondary aromas from intense ageing consist of vanilla, plum, roasted nuts and a touch of cigar box. Full bodied, with pleasant acidity. Very soft tannins provide a soft mouthfeel, rich in density with a long, warm finish and an aftertaste of cocoa and red fruit.

Vineyard

With a vehicle of 139 years of experience, experimentation and knowledge of the area and the variety of Xinomavro, an excellent vineyard was selected in Trilofo, Naoussa and was born in "1879".

Vinification – Maturation

Typical red wine vinification with a high level of compound extraction, essential for an aged wine. Matured in French oak barrels for 24 months.

It pairs well with red meat, game, pasta with creamy sauce, cheese platters.
