Tasting Characteristics

Clear, brown color with deep red highlights. On the nose aromas of raspberry, tomato and a slight sense of smoke. Bitter sweet taste in the mouth of boiled vegetables with aromas of caramel and toffee, quinine bitterness and cinnamon. Long aftertaste that persists with a bitter quinine and aromas of mint stems with hints of smoky caramel.

The process

Created in 1949, it is an Italian aperitif flavored with artichoke leaves (Cynar Scolymus). In addition it contains 12 more herbs and aromatics.

Served

To enjoy the delicious taste of  Cynar liqueur, drink it straight or with ice. Mix it with soda water or tonic and a slice of orange. You can try it as a cocktail such as Negroni.
