Drambuie 700ml

Drambuie has its roots in the 18th century and the secret recipe created by royal pharmacists for Prince Charles Edward Stewart, known as Bonnie Prince Charlie. The elixir was enriched with spices such as cloves for their therapeutic benefits, but also saffron for its rich golden color. It became the personal recipe of the prince, who took care to drink a few drops daily to gain strength and vitality. It's a unique Highlander spirit - with an absolutely regal look, great taste and great solidity. The name Drambuie comes from the Celtic expression "An Dram Buidheach" which means "the drink that satisfies". Drambuie's recipe has remained a seven-seal secret since the drink first arrived in Scotland in 1745. Even today, few know its exact recipe, and its preparation process remains largely unchanged to this day.

Tasting Characteristics

Drambuie fascinates with its bright, dark golden colour and the aromas of aged malt whiskey with shades of flowers and herbs and rich honey. An arrangement of earthy, spicy, sweet and melancholy notes that causes a series of taste explosions. The result is voluptuous, sweet-spoken and rich.

The process

Drambuie is an excellent blend made from aged Scotch whiskey, heather honey, spices and herbs. This is a whiskey-liqueur with 40% alcohol which offers a unique taste experience.
