Tasting Characteristics

Bumbu The Original is a rum with a golden, clear color. On the nose we have aromas of vanilla, caramel and notes of oak and on the palate it gives us aromas of chocolate, banana and cinnamon.

The Process

The iconic Bumbu Rum is based on the original recipe created by 16th and 17th century West Indies sailors, who blended native Caribbean ingredients into their rum and called it "Bumbu" - the original spirit. Using the same natural spices and no artificial colors or flavors, Bumbu is an authentic revival of this piece of Caribbean history, distilled in small batches and blended by hand.

It is drunk straight over ice with an orange peel, while it is also ideal for great cocktails.
