Canadian Club Distillery

Hiram Walker, a successful grain merchant, founded what would become the Canadian Club in 1858. The first distillery was established in Walkerville, Ontario because of the excellent quality of the local grains there. The whiskey was different, smooth and easy to drink and that was the reason why people learned about it. They marked the barrels with the name of the distillery, as a sign of trust and quality assurance.
