Glenmorangie Distillery

The history of the distillery begins in 1843 with the farmer William Matheson who, with his wife, Anne, began the construction of a distillery in the Highlands of Scotland. Selling their whiskey for mere shillings a gallon, the venture may have started small, its location remote, but the Mathesons' vision was extraordinary. They were laying the foundations of what would become one of the most famous Scotch whiskey distilleries in the world.
