Tasting Characteristics

It is clear, discreetly bronze, with green highlights. The taste is sweet, syrupy with aromas of lime peels and spicy notes of clove. On the nose it has aromas of lime peels, intense aromas of clove and more discreetly of nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom and thyme. The aftertaste consists of flavors of lime peel and intense acidity.

The process

It is very dense in composition and always contains lime and sugar in its ingredients, however it may also have been flavored with cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and almonds. Its shade can be transparent or from slightly yellow to bright gold. Specifically the JOHN. D. TAYLORS is a liqueur, which is sweetened thanks to the addition of cane sugar. Its taste results from the immersion of various herbs and aromatics including lime peel, almond and clove. Its creator is sir JOHN D. TAYLOR’S from Bridgetown in Barbados, while the recipe is from 1890.
