Sazerac Rye 700ml

During the 19th century, distillers in the heartland of the USA barreled and shiped their product down the great Mississippi River to the then growing city of New Orleans. Sazerac Rye lives up to this tradition.

Tasting Characteristics

On the nose dominant are the aromas of spices, ginger, orange zest, cloves and raisins. Notes of rye and anise follow. Spicy in the mouth, with hints of citrus jam, apricot and allspice. Flavors of peanut butter, caramel and wood come next. Its finish is pleasantly oily.

The process

Although the exact recipe is a secret, it is believed to consist about 50% of rye, 40% of corn and 10% of barley malt.

Enjoy on the rocks, plain or with drops of mineral water.
