The Matsui Mizunara Cask Single Malt 700ml

In 2020, The Matsui Single Malt Whiskey Mizunara Cask received the title of Single Malt of the Year, in the japanese whiskey category of the Whiskey Bible, from the world-renowned connoisseur, Jim Murray.

Tasting Characteristics

On the nose it has a fresh, floral aroma, followed by vanilla, spices and a note of creamy coconut. Velvety mouthfeel, with a rich taste of oak, cinnamon, ginger and pepper, balanced with a hint of sweet caramel. Silky in the finish with a sense of smoke.

The process

Distilled in the privately owned Kurayoshi distillery and aged in rare Mizunara (japanese oak) type casks.

Served

Enjoy on the rocks, plain or with drops of mineral water.
