Aberlour 12 Y.O Single Malt Double Cask 700ml

The history of Aberlour begins more than a thousand years ago. In ancient times, a community of druids lived in the Aberlour Valley. The druids attached special value to oaks and water and even believed that everyone could hear the spirits of the water talking to each other. The word "Aberlour" is a Gaelic word fot "the mouth of a talkative torrent". Water and oak still appear on the label of the bottle.

Τasting Characteristics

Amber colored, with ruby shades. Soft and rounded aromas of fruits, especially red apples. The fine, sherried character on the palate is balanced with chocolate, toffee, cinnamon and ginger. Warming and lingering finish, slightly sweet and spicy.

The Process

Matures for at least 12 years in two types of barrels. Traditional oak ones allow the gentle character of Aberlour to develop, while ex-sherry ones deliver golden elements in colour and depth in flavor.

Stands out better in a low glass, straight or with ice.
