Producer: Bunnahabhain Distillery

Its strange name means "mouth of the river" and betrays the location of the distillery, at the point where the Margadale River meets the east coast of Islay. It is the only distillery on the island that uses clean spring water, unaffected by peat soils, thus contributing to the character of the whiskey produced. Its history begins in 1883 and is famous for the stability and respect in traditions.

Τasting Characteristics

Fruity and floral on the nose, with hints of smoke. The palate is light, with soft flavors of fruit, nuts, vanilla and caramel. The finish is lingering and rich.

The Process

Double matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, this whisky is beautifully rich and full-bodied, achieving the perfect balance between the characteristic nutty and sherry flavours.
