A really old distillery, with a history that dates back to 1810. In 1963 a group of ambitious people moved to a generous reconstruction, offering new life to the island itself. Their purpose was to produce the best single malt possible. Judging from Jura's commercail success, they did it!

Tasting Characteristics

It has a golden hue. On the nose, tropical aromas with chocolate, walnuts and citrus prevail. In the mouth it has notes of honey, banana, burnt sugar and light smoke. Aftertaste is dominated by roasted apples and spices.

The Process

Initially aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, before enjoying a finishing period in Oloroso sherry butts. Bottled at 40% vol.

Enjoy on the rocks or plain.
