Tasting Characteristics

Pale gold in appearance. Absorbed peat smoke acquires depth, when married to the buttery essence of the distillate. Medium body. The taste is sweet and lively, pleasantly oily and smoky. The aftertaste is quite dry, with salty acidity.

The process

Lagavulin Distillery applies double distillation. This cask-strength whisky has been matured in refill American oak hogsheads, for at least 12 years.
