The scotch malt whisky, eccentrically named Sheep Dip, dates back to the time when British farmers placed homemade whisky in barrels labeled "sheep dip" (sheep disinfectant), to avoid paying taxes. Sheep Dip takes its heritage and tradition through Richard Paterson, Scotland's only 3rd generation master blender.

Tasting Characteristics

On the nose it has aromas of malt, honey, caramel and sugar. In the rich and youthful mouth, malt becomes even more noticeable, while flavors of biscuit, caramel, orange and tobacco also appear. Its long aftertaste consists of a combination of malt, caramel and tobacco.

The process

Sheep Dip whisky is the result of mixing 16 different malts, which age for 8 to 20 years and come from different parts of Scotland. Each one adds its own unique characteristics to the final product. Produced in small quantities, it matures in specially selected first-hand oak barrels.

Enjoy on the rocks, plain or with drops of mineral water.
