Tasting Characteristics

The wine has a deep purple-red colour, with a multilayered complexity of blackberries, chocolate, vanilla, tobacco and spice. Delicately structured with herb-laced finish, this full-bodied wine has power yet sufficiently supple tannins.

Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Cabernet Franc 30%

Vineyard

The vineyards are located in the Vasiliko region of Achaia in Peloponnese at an elevation of 150m. The soil is a mixture of sandy clay and limestone and the grape yields are from 8000 - 9000kg per hectare.

Vinification – Maturation

Cold soak for 48 hours, followed by fermentation on skins and gentle extraction for 10 days. The wine remains in 225lt oak barrels 1st and 2nd use for 28 months. Under proper storage conditions this wine can be aged and enjoyed for up to 15 years.

Harmony

It pairs well with a variety of grilled meats and sausages as well as chocolate based desserts.
