Tasting Characteristics

Crystalline and pure in appearence. Floral on the nose, with notes of yuzu and other citrus fruits. Taste of citrus fruits, mainly yuzu, with juniper and spice elements. Its finish is fresh and balanced.

The process

Etsu Japanese Gin is produced at the Asahikawa Distillery. Pure water from the springs of the Teisetsu Mountains is used. Local botanicals (such as yuzu, orange peels, liquorice and juniper) are soaked into the alcohol base for 24 hours, before distillation in pot still.

Served

Excellent with tonic, as well as with ice and spearmint leaves.
