Safe from the reach of the law, George Connell secretly begins distilling at Burnfoot Farm – where you'll find today's Glengoyne Distillery. The hidden waterfall and tiny still make it easy for George to escape the Minister's grasp. He's not the first to distill here illegally - it's estimated that George learned the art from his grandfather.
