Tasting Characteristics

It is characterized by an extremely balanced sweetness, with elements of lemon, caramelized apple, vanilla, ginger and coconut. The aromas of coconut, honey, lemon peel and wood overflow on the nose. Mouth flavours consist of caramelized apples, ginger, orange and vanilla. At the end, the aromas of sherry, oak and cinnamon remain.

The process

Each Glengoyne whisky has a unique maturation process. Glengoyne 12 Y.O. passes through the following casks:

- 20% 1st fill European oak sherry

- 20% 1st fill American oak bourbon

- 60% Hand-selected quality oak refill casks
