Oban Distillery

When brothers Hugh and John Stevenson reached the borders of the Hebrides in 1793, they found more than a natural harbor and a windswept view. Here they opened the Oban Brewing Company, with 'Cowbell Ale' being their first production, the following year they also began distilling whisky.
