Evan Williams Black 700ml

The Heaven Hill Distillery, which has been operating since 1783 on the Ohio River, is perhaps the first commercial distillery in Kentucky. It was made by Evan Williams, who had settled in the area, growing corn. It makes many American whiskies. Its range includes products with a full character, despite the basic way of production. It owns a barrel factory, managing millions of casks. It is the second best-selling bourbon distillery in the world but the first among those to have one production point.

Tasting Characteristics

On the nose it has notes of vanilla and apple, with hints of ginger. In the mouth vanilla and apple are enhanced and combined with spices. Notes of wood along with dried cranberries follow. Smoke, oak and nuts complete the taste profile. The finish is persistent with oak and lemon peel elements, while finish is dominated by pepper.

The process

It consists of 78% corn, 10% rye, 12% barley and is aged for at least 5 years in virgin white oak casks.
