The Mitchell family used to mark barrels with a blue, red, green or yellow spot, according to the age of the distillate. The green spotted emerged as the most popular.

Tasting Characteristics

Nose rich in aromatic oils, orchard fruits and barley. The spicy body is combined with flavors of clover and green apples, while the aftertaste is dominated by oak elements.

The process

Green Spot is a single pot still whiskey, triple distilled and comprising of pot still distillates, aged between 7 and 10 years. It has matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry barrels.
