Tasting Characteristics

It has a golden-orange colour, herbal aromas and some floral. In its taste it is sweet with a strong sense of orange. This is followed by the classic bitter taste of quinine while the finish is sweet.

The process

It is made by adding over 40 herbs and spices, including orange peel and quinine, to white wine.

Served

Punt e Mes is delicious served straight with a slice of orange peel but is also perfect as a base for cocktails such as the Manhattan.
